I know that a lot of people are going through hard times. Sometimes, it’s hard to even know how to be a help.

Leo Buscaglia was a Professor and motivational speaker who was nicknamed “Dr Love”  because he spoke and wrote regularly on topics relating to helping others. His first bestseller book was simply titled “Love”.

He wrote about once being asked to judge a contest where they wanted to find the most caring child. Based on that, this was one of the entries:

A four-year-old lived next door to an elderly man who had recently lost his wife. One day, the boy saw the neighbor crying. He went over, climbed into the neighbor’s lap and just sat there. When he came home, his mother asked him what he had said to the man.

“Nothing” he said. “I just helped him cry”.

I think that it’s hard to follow that up with a pic o’ day, but the following made me smile;  and maybe there’s some kind of lesson here like “Don’t look back”.
