Our blog platform keeps track of the number of posted blogs. I am now just two short of 1000. I’m not sure what that really means,  but we are trying to figure out if we can come up with “The Best of Bieber” for a week or more.

Last week, the Firm marketing group got together for lunch. (4 of us who like lunch) They told me that they would work on putting “The Best of” together. Is it a bad sign that I haven’t received anything?

Anyway, it does make me feel like a winner to be coming up on 1000. That brings me to a “SmartMoney“  article on “Why Lottery Winners Go Bankrupt”.  Over 1900 Florida Lottery winners have declared bankruptcy.

The article reports on a study of Florida Lottery winners. The premise of the article is that such winners don’t seem to treat winnings the same way as earned wage money.  They call it “mental accounting”. Such money is treated recklessly. When I read that, I’m not so sure that it would take a study to conclude that.

When you get a paycheck, no one says “Hey, what are you going to spend that on, to celebrate?”. Still, I want to recklessly celebrate my 1000 blogs. But how would a blog celebrate?  By lots of blog quotes?  Here is a start:

“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.” ~ Jack Handey

For pic o’ day, I thought I would go with the obvious:
