Drug Reactions
The Case Against Paxil
The Joel Bieber Firm is looking at possible problems as a result of the drug Paxil. Here is a story as reported by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
"A group of obstetricians cautioned that pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant should avoid the antidepressant Paxil. The opinion, issued by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, comes nearly a year after the FDA classified the drug as one that poses a risk to the fetus.
Studies have shown that women taking the drug during their first trimester have had babies who suffered heart defects at a rate twice as much as the norm. "
